Groovy Kid Stuff

We got back from our trip to MI on Wed. Here are some pictures of the highlights.

Hazel, her cousin Rebecca, and two other little girls (not pictured) were flower girls in my sister’s wedding - this was at my parents’ house. Dashiell and Ray were flower girl wranglers, they also carried the rings and the glass that was broken.

Here is my sister watching Dan about to stomp on the glass. (It was a lightbulb - it just has to be glass, not a glass, I didn’t know that.) I put together the bouquet with peonies and maidenhair ferns from my Mom’s garden. I was kind of surprised to see my name next to that responsibility the night before, but it turned out really nice.

I’m going to have 3 nieces this summer! This is sister 3of4 (I’m 1of4, 4of4 got married) due 8-8-08.

And you can see the tissue paper flowers, match books, and boxes of jordan almonds I did for the wedding.

This is sister 2of4 and her husband - cousin Rebecca’s parents - due in early July.

This is Scott’s sister who is due in late August - how cute is she?

A couple days after the wedding the 5 of us took off for the other side of the state - a little vacation on our vacation. This is lake Michigan which was about 6 miles from where we were staying.

Scott’s Uncle and Grandma have this RV that they let us stay in.

Here is a view of the lot - it is on a lake too (not lake Mi.)

Scott’s family has roots in this area that go way back - the boys are standing near the grave of their great great great grandfather who fought in the Civil War.

We visited other relatives on the way back to my parents’ house and had more family visits for the next few days. It didn’t seem like we were gone for two weeks.
