i absolutely love your idea! i thought about making hats for my son’s bday party but had no idea how to make them and thought they would be soo complicated! buying hats is way to pricey and im definitely on a budget Thanks for sharing your creativity! im having awsum party favors!

Oh thank you so much for posting this…my son loves link and plays like hes link almost everyday…so i thought it would be perfect for him to be link for halloween..but all the costumes online are sooooo expensive…

I made a very detailed Link tunic today for myself for cosplay. If only I had found this sooner! I have been stitching and cutting and sawing and melting (plastic for the shield) all night! I will be sure to use this in the future for my younger cousins who are also Zelda enthusiasts. Thank you

Thank you a bunch. I am a HUGE fan of the series. However, do you have any idea as to how the hat can be made to not fold like in the picture? I’m a real stickler about that. I’m thinking to make it longer like in the games but I don’t want to waste material.

My son is having a Mario Kart birthday in April and I wanted favors that kids can take home & actually enjoy & use again. This is such a great idea! I’m sure it will take no time to do, however, I have fifteen kids (screaming!) Wish me luck…. BTW great idea Helen!:-)

I am a last minute Christmas shopper and was very worried I could not find a Luigi hat shipped to me in time. I am now very happy because I can make my son a hat that will make his Christmas. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial.

Thank you for sharing your idea, I followed your fantastic advice on making it out of felt (i.e. being precise with the measurements) and increasing the measurements to achieve that cartoony look. My boyfriend was going to purchase a hat like this on ebay -far too expensive! He was thrilled when I produced a home made one! you have a wonderful gift with your talent, Helen! what fun you and your family must have enjoying craft time together! Thank you again!
